CAPP in collaboration with Ministry of Health & Prevention. Token of appreciation to
Dr. Mariam Jaafar, Head, Dental Department, MOHAP accompanied by Dr. Fuzan Alkhalidi
and Dr. Nabeel Humood – Scientific Advisory Board.

As a result of the growing digital dentistry sector in the region, the conference took place this year in
the Madinat Jumeirah Conference & Events Centre, Dubai, UAE. The location gave the organisers enough space to introduce a number of new elements to the event, including additional room for exhibitors and more comfortable and relaxed seating in the meeting room where the scientific programme was held. The continuous fast development in digital dentistry means there is growing need for relevant high-level education.

CAPP provided lectures in the scientific programme and multi-disciplinary hands-on courses designed to ensure
that dentists, orthodontists and dental technicians were brought fully up to date
with the latest technologies on the market.

The 14th CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry Conference brought all areas of the digital dental industry together, from device makers to dealers, allowing the participants to update their knowledge of the latest innovations in the field.

Several significant events took place during the 5 Days of Continuing Dental Education Programme including: 14th CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry – Main Conference, Digital Orthodontics Symposium, Dental Technician Int’l Meeting,
17 multi-disciplinary hands-on training courses, Round Table Presentations, Exhibition, Free training at the exhibition area and Poster Presentation competition.

The conference was organised by Centre for Advanced Professional Practices (CAPP).

ABOUT THE EVENT

The event gathered top key opinion leaders with a focus on the latest trends and developments in digital orthodontics. Digital dentistry can assist us in many ways, by assessing space and measuring the amount of crowding in cases, predicting treatment outcomes, assisting patients’ communication but also storing models digitally and treatment planning. With the introduction of 3D Printing in dentistry, the opportunities in orthodontics have expanded from digital impression taking, to developing virtual treatment plans and 3D printing of dental models.

The Digital Orthodontics Symposium illustrated the necessity for orthodontists to look-into and highly consider digitalising their working ways to save time, money and provide more efficient and effective treatments for the patients.
