Dental Hygienist Seminar (DHS), the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia annual event dedicated entirely to dental hygienists, took place on 26 November 2021 online on a complimentary basis due to the ongoing Covid-19 global pandemic. The event was a part of CAPP November Dental Livestream 2021 and it welcomed a total of 3,946 registered dental professional participants from around the globe. A total of 7 international speakers presented and answered questions related to dental hygiene.


The event welcomed 3,946 attendees with specializations such as dental technicians, dental students and other dental professionals in the conference sessions representing a total of 69 countries.

Speakers & Scientific Programme

The scientific programme was designated for 7 CE Credits by CAPP Events & Training  (an ADA CERP Recognized Provider of CE Credits). A total of 7 international speakers presented from Australia, United Kingdom and Switzerland connecting with an online audience to share the knowledge and latest developments in Oral Care and Dental Hygiene. The following speakers were presenting their scientific presentations throughout four days of the event:

Prof Ian Meyers, Australia – Clinical aspects of geriatric and aged care dentistry
Claire Berry, DH, UK – Beating biofilm- working with our patients to fight the biofilm battle
Dr Kopikrishna Thirunelakandan – Preventing oral health diseases in the dental practice
