To actively participate the following materials are needed:
1. Download the design files for the model, the crowns and the patient case here
2. Make the model (e.g. by printing) with the design data provided
3. Mill two crowns with the data provided and prepare a cut-back on one. The crowns can be made of the following materials:
- Feldspar ceramic (e.g. VITABLOCS Mark II or others)
- Glass ceramics (e.g. VITA AMBRIA or others)
- Zirconia (e.g. VITA YZ or others)
4. Required veneering ceramics materials:
- VITA LUMEX AC CHROMA INTENSE almond
- VITA LUMEX AC OPAL TRANSLUCENT opal-azure
- VITA LUMEX AC TRANSLUCENT light-blonde
- VITA LUMEX AC TRANSLUCENT smoky-white
- VITA LUMEX AC PEARL shell
- VITA LUMEX AC ENAMEL intense
- VITA LUMEX AC ENAMEL clear
5. Additional material required:
- VITA Toothguide 3D-MASTER or VITA Linearguide 3D-MASTER
- A ceramic furnace (VITA VACUMAT 6000 or other) with VITA LUMEX AC firing programs installed (1. dentine firing – 2. dentine firing – glaze firing)
- Micro motor
- Firing paste and firing support
- Diamond burs
- Polishing kit
- Ceramic stains (e.g. VITA AKZENT Plus or others) and brush
Abstract
To respond to aesthetics, we need versatile and easy-to-use ceramic powders. Through this event, we will see what are the different fields of application of the VITA Lumex- Ac. The possibility of using a multitude of supports: Titanium, lithium disilicate, zirconia, Feldspathic. Will also discuss the CAD/CAM protocol that must be implemented to have aesthetic success on a daily basis.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the influence of supports on aesthetic rendering
- Understand the implementation of micro-stratification
- Establish a study protocol using the CAD/CAM
- Understand the importance of shade taking
- Analyze the surface condition of the tooth
