Abstract

Growing evidence suggests that oral health may be linked to cardiovascular health across the life course. While research has traditionally focused on periodontitis in adults, recent longitudinal studies have highlighted associations between childhood oral diseases and cardiovascular outcomes later in life.

This webinar will explore these emerging findings alongside established evidence on oral–cardiovascular connections, discussing potential inflammatory and immune mechanisms, shared risk factors, and implications for prevention. Particular attention will be given to early oral health interventions, effective plaque control and lifelong preventive strategies in supporting cardiovascular health and healthy ageing.
