Abstract

Tooth preparation for indirect ceramic restorations requires balancing functional and aesthetic demands while minimizing potential risks. This presentation will begin with general tooth preparation principles, then move into detailed, area-specific, and material-specific guidelines. It will cover instrumentation and techniques for both anterior and posterior, partial and full-coverage ceramic restorations. Special emphasis will be placed on conserving tooth structure and highlighting the differences between traditional preparation designs and modern approaches.
