Abstract

Pain is a common and significant health problem that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be caused by a wide range of conditions and can have a profound impact on an individual's quality of life, physical function, and mental health. Pain is a complex and multifaceted experience that can vary in severity, duration, and location.

According to the World Health Organization, pain affects up to 50% of the global population, with chronic pain affecting around 20% of adults worldwide. In addition, chronic pain is estimated to be the leading cause of disability globally, with a significant impact on healthcare costs and productivity.

The burden of pain can be particularly significant for individuals with orthopedic conditions, who may experience pain related to joint and muscle damage or dysfunction. This can lead to reduced mobility, impaired function, and a decreased quality of life. Effective pain management is therefore essential for improving the outcomes and quality of life for individuals with orthopedic conditions. By providing healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose, assess, and manage pain effectively, we can reduce the burden of pain and improve the overall health and well-being of individuals with orthopedic conditions. Through this webinar, we aim to provide evidence-based information and practical strategies for healthcare professionals to enhance their ability to manage pain and improve the quality of care they provide to their patients.
