Abstract
Titanium implants have long been considered the gold standard in implant dentistry. However, increasing aesthetic demands, a growing interest in metal-free solutions, and deeper insights into peri-implant biology have accelerated the evolution of ceramic implant systems. Zirconia implants have emerged as a scientifically validated and clinically reliable alternative, particularly in highly aesthetic cases and biologically driven treatment concepts.
This two-part webinar mini-series provides a comprehensive introduction to modern ceramic implantology with a special focus on immediate zirconia implantation. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the biological principles behind ceramic implants and the accompanying biological protocol required to optimize healing and long-term success. A structured comparison between zirconia and titanium implants will highlight key differences in material properties, soft-tissue interaction, bacterial adhesion, and aesthetic performance.
