Dr. Gregor Hočevar graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana in 1996, receiving both the Prešeren Prize and the Oražen Prize as the best graduate of his generation. During his studies, he expanded his clinical perspective through professional training visits to dental clinics in Spain, Germany, Austria, and the United States.

In 2017, he became the first dentist in Slovenia to obtain the title of Specialist in Biological Dentistry and Ceramic Implants after completing two years of postgraduate training in Germany and Switzerland.

In the same year, he founded Center Hočevar, Slovenia’s first biologically oriented private dental clinic, dedicated to metal-free dentistry. The clinic currently operates with a team of five additional dentists.

In the academic year 2021/2022, he completed the 2nd Level University Master’s Degree in Oral Implantology, presenting his thesis on “Immediate Ceramic Implant Placement in the Aesthetic Zone” under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Covani.

Dr. Hočevar has placed more than 3,000 ceramic implants and dedicates his clinical work exclusively to ceramic implantology, with particular emphasis on immediate implant placement in the aesthetic zone. He has developed an advanced surgical protocol aimed at optimizing hard- and soft-tissue outcomes following immediate ceramic implant placement.

He has been invited as a lecturer at the University of Maribor (Slovenia), the University of Zagreb (Croatia), and the University of Sharjah (UAE), and is an active author and international speaker in the field of ceramic and metal-free implant dentistry.
