Abstract

Optimal use of multilayer zirconium dioxide and lithium disilicate. Full build -up, minimal layering and staining as alternative methods with no esthetic compromise.

  • Full ceramic build-up on lithium disilicate coping. Creation of transmitting and reflecting zones, different levels of translucency, opalescence and fluorescence. Staining as a final touch, enhancing or diminishing effects.
  • Vestibular veneering of zirconium structure. Internal staining as an enhancement of color, saturation and translucency. Minimal ceramic layering creating opalescence layer with different levels of color saturation.
  • Full power of staining in terms of monolithic zirconium structures. Creating a base layer of color, contrast staining and 3D effects. Use of True Color liquid. Effective glazing at low temperatures.

Simple but effective journey in the world of natural esthetic. Alternative ways of achieving comparable results. Full build up guided by natural design of dentine core, consecutive vestibular ceramic layering respecting tooth morphology, efficient staining of monolithic structures involving ceramic stains of high intensity, both 2D and 3D, fired at low temperatures. Unified, fluorescent glazing for all kinds of restorations, performed in a wide range of temperatures (730 - 850 degrees Celsius), depending on the material used.

Demonstration of full ceramic build up, presentation of natural staining, discussion about achieved results, explanation of the vestibular veneering concept, bringing closer the term “natural esthetic”.
