Abstract
Patients with FP3 solutions and complete removable dentures transformed FP1 thanks to fully digital full arch implant protocol - cases and challenges FP1 and FP3 prostheses are two classifications of implant-supported restorations, each serving distinct purposes based on patient needs and anatomical considerations. FP1 prostheses are designed to mimic natural teeth, replacing only the visible crown, thereby preserving the natural gingival contour. This option is suitable when the bone and soft tissues are in good condition, allowing for a highly aesthetic outcome without extensive tissue augmentation. In contrast, FP3 prostheses replace both the teeth and the missing soft tissue, effectively reconstructing the entire arch. This type of restoration is used in cases of significant bone or soft tissue loss, providing enhanced function and aesthetic outcomes through artificial gingival components. The key difference lies in their approach to tissue preservation and replacement, which determines clinical indication and patient outcomes. Thanks to digitalisation and more predictable planning the indications for FP1 increase. Also enables to transform the FP3 cases to FP1 which will be demonstrated during the lecture.
