Abstract
Tooth wear is a multifactorial irreversible loss of dental hard tissues, as a result of a combination of mechanical and chemical processes not involving bacterial acids. Tooth wear is not a new phenomenon; however, due to the changes in lifestyle and dietary habits, it is becoming more prevalent in both developed and developing countries. However, the diagnosis, classification and management seem to be a challenge for the dental profession in everyday practice.
Therefore, in this presentation, awareness, experience and preferred treatment strategies concerning tooth wear among dental health professionals will be explored and challenges in clinical decision-making will also be presented.
