Professor Atef Shaker is a distinguished figure in the academic dental field, with a career spanning over three decades. His journey commenced in 1989 when he joined the Fixed Prosthodontics department at Cairo University as a resident. Fueled by a passion for the intricate science of prosthodontics, he pursued further knowledge, earning his MD in 1995. This marked the beginning of his ascent in academia.
In 1995, after obtaining his MD, Prof. Shaker assumed the role of Assistant Lecturer at the Fixed Prosthodontics department, where he continued to contribute to the field through teaching and research. Undeterred by challenges, he pursued a PhD in Ceramics in 2001, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the understanding of this artistic discipline.
Throughout his career, Prof. Shaker has been a stalwart in the realms of Ceramics, CAD/CAM, and Digital Dentistry.
