Professor Atef Shaker is a distinguished figure in the academic dental field, with a career spanning over three decades. His journey commenced in 1989 when he joined the Fixed Prosthodontics department at Cairo University as a resident. In 1995, after obtaining his MD, Prof. Shaker assumed the role of Assistant Lecturer at the Fixed Prosthodontics department, where he continued to contribute to the field through teaching and research.
