Roisin has worked for over 30 years in the field of oral health and is qualified as a dental nurse, dental hygienist and dental therapist. In addition to her dental qualifications, she has a Graduate Certificate in International Health, a Master of Public Health (Sexual Health) and a PhD in oral health promotion. She has currently enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in University Teaching at the University of Melbourne. Roisin is also an accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor and delivers MHFA training to people working in the oral health sector. Roisin currently works with the University of Melbourne (0.5FTE) as the Director Bachelor of Oral Health and the Coordinator of the BOH Honours Program. She is also employed (0.5FTE) with Dental Health Services Victoria as the Learning Design and Systems Consultant.

Roisin has had a very varied career in oral health and is experienced in clinical practice, teaching and learning, research, oral health promotion, dental public health, program management, workforce development and training, supporting organizational change, implementing new models of care, and event coordination and facilitation. She has academic experience as a clinical educator and lecturer at the University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and RMIT University and has taught into a dental assistant, oral health therapy, and dentistry programs.
