University of Sharjah and CAPP Open Applications for NIHS-Accredited Clinical Certificate in Dental Implantology
The University of Sharjah College of Dental Medicine and its Clinical and Surgical Training Centre (CSTC), with CAPP Events & Training as the official marketing and co-organising partner, have opened applications for the inaugural intake of the Clinical Certificate in Dental Implantology — a one-year, structured postgraduate training pathway for licensed dental practitioners seeking to establish or formalise a clinical implantology scope of practice in the UAE. Orientation begins 11 September 2026, with all training conducted at the University of Sharjah campus in Sharjah, UAE.
The program carries accreditation from the National Institute for Health Specialities (NIHS), reference NIHS/122/2026, and is structured to satisfy the current regulatory requirements for obtaining implant dentistry privileges in the UAE — a distinction that positions the certificate as a professionally consequential credential. Approximately 140 CME credit hours are generated across the program, with individual module certificates issued throughout the year. Enrolment is capped at a maximum of 24 participants, with places allocated on a rolling, interview-based basis.
The clinical training component requires each participant to complete a minimum of 30 live implant placements and full restorations under direct faculty supervision, with patients provided by the program. Training is delivered across 20 didactic Friday modules spanning the full clinical spectrum, six industry-led hands-on workshops with multiple implant systems, and six online case presentation sessions. The program is directed by Dr. Kamis Gaballah, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, with Prof. Zahi Badran, Periodontist, as Co-Director, and Dr. Ibrahim Bayram, Prosthodontist, as Program Coordinator, supported by more than 25 University of Sharjah specialists and invited international experts.
Applicants must hold a recognised dental degree, a minimum of three years of post-internship clinical experience, and a current valid practitioner licence. The all-inclusive fee, payable in five installments and covering all implant kits, consumables, CBCT scans, digital prosthetics, laboratory fees, and certificates. Applications and enquiries are directed to CAPP Events & Training at [email protected] or via WhatsApp on +971 55 884 4272.
