A two-day hands-on course on composite restorations, organised by CAPP and led by Dr Fadi Khuffash, concluded at the CAPP Training Institute in Dubai on 5 and 6 June 2026. Titled "Mastering Composite Restorations: Anterior and Posterior, Layering, Shaping & Rubber Dam Isolation", the programme ran from 09:00 to 18:00 across both days and combined intensive lectures with practical training, taking participating dentists through the techniques that underpin predictable and durable restorative outcomes. The course spanned general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry.
Participants explored the complete composite workflow, beginning with adhesives and material selection before progressing to anterior and posterior restorations. The course addressed layering techniques, finishing and polishing, and colour management, alongside rubber dam isolation as the foundation of a controlled operating field. Each topic was reinforced through workshops, allowing clinicians to refine their technique under direct guidance rather than observation alone.
The practical emphasis was designed to translate directly into daily practice, with attendees working towards results that are aesthetic, functional, and reproducible across both the anterior and posterior segments. The combination of structured instruction and supervised repetition gave participants the opportunity to build confidence in protocols they can apply immediately at the chairside.
