Abstract

Advances in digital technology are reshaping dental practice, with artificial intelligence (AI) playing an increasingly central role. This lecture highlights how AI-driven tools support clinicians in the early detection of caries, periodontal disease, and other oral conditions, enabling more precise diagnosis and risk assessment. Practical examples will illustrate how these technologies can be integrated into daily workflows to enhance decision-making, optimize patient management, and improve long-term outcomes. The session will also address current limitations, ethical considerations, and future perspectives, providing participants with a clear understanding of how to responsibly and effectively apply AI in dentistry.
