Abstract

Experience a Practical Journey through Skeletal Anchorage in Orthodontics

This course offers an immersive exploration of skeletal anchorage in orthodontics, emphasizing the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

Participants will gain insight into temporary anchorage devices (TADs), specifically focusing on mini-implants, understanding their characteristics, and leveraging their advantages in orthodontic treatment.

Beginning with a comprehensive introduction to TADs, including insertion techniques and sites, the course navigates through the clinical workflow. It showcases the transition from analog to digital methodologies, highlighting their impact on the precision and efficacy of skeletal anchorage.

The program covers applications in both the upper jaw and mandible, providing a deeper understanding of their utilities and advantages.

Interactive modules feature hands-on exercises focusing on various insertion techniques and the application of mini-implant-supported mechanics, transforming theoretical understanding into practical expertise.

By attending this course, orthodontic professionals will acquire the knowledge needed to proficiently implement skeletal anchorage, elevating treatment outcomes and broadening treatment options.

Learning objectives

  • Attain expertise in diverse TAD insertion techniques, covering the most dependable insertion sites.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of integrating TADs into your clinical workflow, encompassing analog and digital methods for optimized treatment efficacy.
  • Explore the application of skeletal anchorage in both upper and lower jaw, gaining practical skills for immediate integration into your daily practice.
