Abstract

Composite restorations do not achieve excellence at placement alone—the final result is largely determined by the quality of finishing, polishing, and surface texturing. This lecture explores why these final steps are critical for long-term success and how they directly influence esthetics, plaque accumulation, color stability, wear resistance, patient comfort, and restoration longevity.
