Reconstruction of Large Ridge Defect by Particulated Grafts and Membranes as a Prerequisite for Successful Implantation
Hands-on / Online
Abstract
Several methods, membranes and graft materials have been proposed in recent years for alveolar ridge reconstructions. Some have been proved to be outstanding, but some have ended up in a nightmare situation. Is it the material, the selected type of surgery, the patient or we clinicians the main reason for success or failure. In the first part of the workshop, a guideline will be presented on the suggested methods and materials for different clinical scenarios, whereas in the second part augmentation of a resorbed alveolar ridge will be practiced.
Course Objectives
- To identify different ridge defects
- To select the appropriate method and material for different clinical scenarios
- To practice the successful reconstruction of a resorbed narrow ridge
