Abstract
Nowadays, clinicians have access to high-performance materials that enable aesthetic and functional treatments using minimally invasive prosthetic techniques. This lecture will focus on both prep and no-prep veneer approaches, emphasizing proper treatment planning to achieve predictable results in the anterior area. Different ceramic materials will be analyzed in depth, with clear indications on how to select the ideal ingot and apply the correct cementation protocol, particularly in the case of thin veneers.
The indications and limitations of prep and no-prep techniques will be clearly illustrated to guide clinicians in both simple cases and complex rehabilitations, always following a minimally invasive, planning-driven approach.
Learning objectives
- Discuss indications and limitations of prep and no-prep veneer techniques.
- Explain the role of treatment planning in achieving predictable esthetic and functional outcomes.
- Explain the selection of ceramic materials and ingots based on clinical indications.
- Demonstrate clinical workflows for veneer preparation, positioning, and cementation, including thin veneers.
- Discuss minimally invasive strategies for managing both simple cases and complex rehabilitations.
