Abstract

A ledge is an iatrogenically created irregularity inside the root canal system that requires experience, skill, and appropriate armamentarium to be safely bypassed, minimizing the risk of complications such as perforation or instrument separation. In this lecture, we will discuss the causes of ledge formation and proper management, from bypassing to obturation.
