Abstract
Restoring complex cases can be very challenging to most clinicians in their daily practice.
Traditional layering techniques for restoring anterior class IV restorations and peg laterals require training and skills together with long clinic times. The restoration of posteriors with deep cavities and fragile cusps requires experience and technique when planning a cusp coverage in order to have higher longevity of the restorations and avoid premature failures.
And finally, restoring pathological tooth wear with freehand direct restorations may require precision and planning as this technique often gives unpredictable results with possible re-works and unhappy patients.
Significant advancement in composite materials, bonding systems and glass ionomers enable unparalleled simplification and aesthetics in direct restorations allowing us to evolve techniques to offer a predictable solution to restore different types of cavities, by doing direct restorations on a simplified approach to maximize success.
The aim of this course is to present a detailed series of easy and predictable techniques for anterior and posterior restorations that will enable clinicians to create first-class aesthetics direct restorations in a quicker and more affordable way. Together with a simplified polishing technique and a detailed surface characterization you can achieve the perfect reflection of the light for restorations as aesthetic as indirect ones and with a reduced and cost-efficient inventory.
Dr. Moretto will provide a logical, simplified, detailed and practical approach to rebuild different anterior and posterior cavities using direct composite resin restorations.
