Abstract

This new two-day course will cover all knowledge and techniques using composite in anterior and posterior teeth. Scientific basics will be paired with a lot of tips and tricks. The lecture will explain how thirty years' experience led to reliable restorations in an efficient way and also in different situations.

In posterior teeth, participants will learn to use the right concept from minimally invasive to crown restoration. The right choice of adhesives and material will help to get durable results regarding marginal morphology, wear resistance, and esthetics. For all different indications the preparation, layering, light curing, contouring, and finishing will be explained. Learning different tricks will help to avoid failures and rise up efficacy in daily practice.

In anterior teeth, participants will learn diagnostics, material choice, preparation design, color management, layering and contouring technique for Simple class III / IV restoration, a closing diastema, correct malpositioned teeth, crossbite, and direct composite veneering system. A lot of tricks will be shown to manage difficult situations.

Learning objectives

  • Master a new perspective for the placement of anterior and posterior composites
  • Discuss a different clinical approach to make color matching easy
  • Review changes in adhesion and light-curing: new keys for short- and long-term success
  • Reduce clinical stress by improving case predictability
  • Learn how to simplify the composite layering technique and direct veneering system
  • Updates on techniques and materials for discoloration, diastema, malposition, missing teeth
