Aesthetics in dentistry today is an all-encompassing multidisciplinary treatment process that dentists provide for patients. While some cases may have obvious solutions, many can leave us indecisive on the best treatment options, especially when we are faced with numerous possibilities of restorative materials. Having a working protocol is vital in equipping both practitioners and patients to make important informed decisions. Topics will include the workflow of indirect restorative treatment focusing on tooth preparation design and tooth surface topography, provisional restorations and tissue management, impression techniques including digital scanning, cements and adhesive cementation. Different workflows will be discussed both for teeth-supported as well as implant-supported restorations.
