Abstract

During this demo conference, Alexander Lichtmannegger, dental technician and instructor at Zirkonzahn Worldwide, will show how to recreate the tooth natural harmony of colours and forms using Zirkonzahn’s state-of-the-art technologies and materials, from the design phase to the colouring techniques. After a short company presentation, in the first part of the conference Alexander will focus on Prettau® zirconia: alongside a description of the Prettau® range of materials, he will show proven techniques for the material characterisation. A special attention will be drawn to the polychromatic version of Prettau® (Dispersive® versions), which is already provided with a smooth natural colour transition during the manufacturing process. In this context, a brand new shade guide composed of monolithic zirconia sample teeth will be presented. During his demo-lecture, Alexander will also provide an interactive description of the new Teleskoper Orbit with 125-mm diameter, compatible with the M2 milling unit comfort line. He will show how to use this equipment for adjusting the friction of telescopic jobs and for the two-stage fabrication of immediate restorations in case of implant-supported prostheses (Double Milling). The attention will then be given to the restoration design, with a presentation of the new design tools for a quick design of set-ups and dentures, like 3D face animation concepts and already-articulated tooth libraries.
