Abstract
Aesthetics in dentistry today encompasses a comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment process provided by dentists for their patients. While some cases may have clear-cut solutions, many can leave us undecided about the best treatment options, especially given the numerous possibilities of restorative treatments and materials. Having a working protocol is vital to equip both practitioners and patients to make important informed decisions.
Topics covered in this lecture will include the workflow of indirect restorative implant treatment, with a focus on provisional restorations, tissue management, optical impression techniques, and the fabrication of custom abutments.
The main objective of this lecture is to present evidence-based requirements and conceptual bases that should be followed to optimize and efficiently achieve results in modern implant dentistry. Special attention will be given to the digital workflow.
