Course Outline
The morning session will consist of a seminar on occlusion and will cover the following topics:
- The 5 principles of occlusion
- RAP V centric relation
- Mutually protected occlusion
- The importance of anterior guidance
- Non- working side interferences
- Posterior stability
The afternoon session will be a hands-on practical (with Dr Adam Toft). This will cover face bows and jaw registration.

Course Outline
The morning session will consist of a seminar on tooth preparation followed by a lecture which will cover:
- Two-handed preparation
- Magnification
- Choice of burs
- Laboratory Support
- Speed increasing handpieces
- 4 stages of tooth preparation
- Occlusal reduction
- Axial walls
- Margin choice
- Resistance & retention form
The afternoon will be a hands-on practical on phantom head models in two groups and will cover:
- Anterior & posterior PFM crown preps
- Use of prep matrics
- Shillinburg wings
- Impression techniques
- Retraction cords
