Prof. Daniela Rios is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Pediatric Dentistry, currently serving as a Full Professor at the Bauru School of Dentistry, University of São Paulo, Brazil. She earned her MSc (2000) and PhD (2004) in Pediatric Dentistry from the same institution, followed by a Post-Doctoral fellowship in Cariology (2006-2008).
Prof. Rios has been a faculty member since 2008, becoming a Full Professor in 2023. Her research interests encompass Cariology, Pediatric Dentistry, Preventive and Operative Dentistry, Developmental Dental Defects, and Erosive Tooth Wear. Clinically, she focuses on Pediatric Dentistry.
With over 222 peer-reviewed publications and 2339 citations, Prof. Rios has an H-index of 26. She has authored two books and 21 book chapters. She served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Oral Science from 2018 to 2021 and is currently the President of the Research Committee at Bauru School of Dentistry (since April 2022). Prof. Rios has supervised 12 Master’s dissertations and 7 Doctoral theses. This year, she is organizing an edition of the book "Monographs in Oral Science" titled "Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation: New Perceptions."
