Implant dentistry today is a multidisciplinary treatment process that dentists provide for patients. The array of treatment options is wide and each clinical procedure varies depending on many factors including health status of patients, patient's wishes, and clinician’s overall knowledge about the materials being used and its relevant application techniques. Implant-supported restorations have become a common procedure in dentistry, performed by both specialists and general dentists. Although there may be in numerous techniques and variations to fabricate these restorations, a thorough treatment planning including periodontal, anatomical, functional and aesthetic evaluation are imperative in order to achieve successful clinical outcomes.
The main objective of this lecture is to show evidence-based requirements and conceptual bases that should be followed to optimize and efficiently achieve results with single-implant restorations.

- to observe two main protocols to restore single implants, namely conventional protocol and immediate protocol.
- to observe the procedures involved in the fabrication of a single-implant restoration;
- to observe the procedures involved in the analog and digital protocol to fabricate a single implant restoration.
