Pathway to Level 7
Delegates who complete(d) the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD) Accredited Course in Dubai, UAE via CAPP Training Institute and Tipton Training Ltd.
Important: In case a Delegate is applying for Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) more than 5 years after course completion date, i.e. date after which they completed their course, then the delegate needs to do 4 revision days in addition to the policy mentioned below. This will ensure the knowledge is current and refreshed. Additional course fees will apply for attending these course days.
Category D.1: Delegates who completed the Level 1 & Level 2 Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry in Dubai starting between September 2016 and 2018
- Delegate situation
- Delegate has completed the CAPP & Tipton Training course
- Delegates has appeared for BARD MCQ Exam
- Delegates has a BARD PG Certificate, in relevant course for which they are looking to RPL.
- Delegates can choose to RPL to the:
- PG Certificate in Restorative Dentistry
- PG Certificate in Aesthetic dentistry
- PG Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry
- Evidence to be Submitted
- Learner Declaration
- Confirm of registration with local council
- Confirm duration when the delegate attended the course
- Evidence of having practiced dentistry for the past 12 months, this might include:
- Letter from Practice where delegate currently works
- PG Certificate or PG Diploma received at the end of the course
- Learner Declaration
- Additional Assessments
- PG Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry
- Notes: Delegates are ONLY eligible for this route if they have completed the PG Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry
- Attend 6 additional days and complete the assessments associated with these days, additional fees apply:
- Overview of Occlusion (Restorative Course)
- Aesthetic and Orthodontics (Aesthetic Course)
- Advance Composites – Black Triangles & Direct Stratification (Aesthetic Course)
- Advance Composites – Treatment of Tooth Wear (Aesthetic Course)
- 2 days Digital Simile Design (Aesthetic Course)
- Complete the “Unit 1 Principles of Smile Design - Integrating Smile Design” Reflective write-up
- Complete the Treatment Planning Case
- Complete and submit 5 Occlusal Assessment, performed on their own patients.
- Complete the Treatment Planning Case (delegate can choose to attend the Treatment Planning Course day)
- PG Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry
- Fees Applicable
- RPL fees on £3,000 + VAT
- Additional per day fees of relevant course applicable
Category D.1: Delegates who completed the Level 1 & Level 2 in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry in Dubai starting September 2019 Onwards
- Delegate situation
- Delegate has completed the CAPP & Tipton Training course
- Delegates has appeared for BARD MCQ Exam
- Delegates has a BARD PG Certificate, in relevant course for which they are looking to RPL.
- Delegates can choose to RPL to the:
- PG Certificate in Restorative Dentistry
- PG Certificate in Aesthetic dentistry
- PG Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry
- Evidence to be Submitted
- Learner Declaration

- Confirm duration when the delegate attended the course

- TMD
- Overview of Occlusion
- Introductions to Implants
- Complete and submit 5 Occlusal Assessment, performed on their own patients.
- Complete the Treatment Planning Case (delegate can choose to attend the Treatment Planning Course day)
- PG Certificate in Operative Dentistry
- Note: Delegates are ONLY eligible for this route if they have completed the PG Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry
- Attend 6 course days, and, complete the assessments associated with those days, additional fees applicable for course days:
- Bonded Crowns
- Porcelain Veneers
- Amalgams
- Gold Preps
- Marylands
- Bridge Preparations
- PG Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry
- Notes: Delegates are ONLY eligible for this route if they have completed the PG Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry
- Attend 6 additional days and complete the assessments associated with these days, additional fees apply:
