Prof. Ngo has extensive experience in private practice, research, and education. He was the principal of a dental practice located in Australia for over 20 years before joining academia.
As an educator, he has published and lectured extensively internationally on the dental materials, minimal intervention dentistry and cardiology. Over the last 15 years, he has been very active as an international speaker and has contributed to numerous major international meetings, e.g. FDI, Chicago Mid-Winter, IDEM, ADA Congress, CDA. It is estimated that his courses have attracted over 30,000 participants.
In research, he is active in the areas of dental materials and cardiology, he was appointed Visiting Research Fellow to the Adelaide University in 1998, Research Director of the Colgate Australian Clinical Dental Research Centre, Adelaide University in 1999. In 2007, he joined the National University of Singapore as Associate Professor in the Dept. of Restorative Dentistry. He was invited to the University of Queensland as Professor and Chair of General Dental Practice in 2009. In 2012, he joined the University of Kuwait as Professor and Director of Comprehensive Dental Care. He is now Dean of the College of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah, UAE and Executive Director of the University Dental Hospital Sharjah. He has been a technical consultant to several dental organizations and was co-inventor of several dental products.
