Prof. Dr Tosun Tosun graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Istanbul, Türkiye in 1989 and completed his PhD in Oral Implantology at the same university (1990–1997). He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2003 and University Professor in 2018 by the Higher Education Council of Türkiye. Prof. Dr Tosun holds a Master's and MSc in Dental Lasers from AALZ–Aachen University and the University of Genoa, respectively. He has held academic positions at the University of Genoa, University of Pisa, Istanbul Aydin University (where he also served as Dean), and Istanbul Atlas University. In 2024, he received the prestigious Leon Goldman Award from the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Prof. Dr Tosun is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), an Advanced Instructor of the Laser and Health Academy, and a Certified Expert in Oral Implantology with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Orale Implantologie (DGOI). Currently, he is a Contract Professor at the University of Genoa and runs a private practice in Istanbul. He regularly lectures at international conferences and courses in English, Spanish, and Italian, and is an active contributor to scientific publications.
