Salah is an orthodontist, educator, and passionate advocate for advanced treatment techniques, living and practicing in Copenhagen, Denmark. A father of two, he enjoys life in the city’s vibrant yet peaceful center—despite its long, cold winters—and often cycles to work, finding the ride a refreshing start and end to his day.

After graduating from the University of Copenhagen’s postgraduate program in Orthodontics, Salah built a career that bridges clinical work, leadership, and teaching. He serves as a clinical teacher and supervisor at the University’s postgraduate department for Orthodontics, focusing on biomechanics, skeletal anchorage, and growth. By combining mechanical principles with biological understanding, he strives to equip the next generation of orthodontists with cutting-edge knowledge.

As head of Copenhagen’s largest central public orthodontic clinic, Salah oversees treatment for nearly half of the city’s children and young patients under 22, leading multiple teams to deliver high-quality care. At the Orthognathic Surgery Department, Køge Regional Hospital, he specializes in orthognathic surgery and early interceptive Class III treatments with skeletal anchorage, gaining deep insights into long-term outcomes and stability. He also works part-time in private practice, focusing on adult and periodontally compromised patients through close interdisciplinary collaboration.

Salah’s greatest professional passion—biomechanics and skeletal anchorage—has been central to his work since 2006. His lectures, delivered nationally and internationally, share techniques, innovations, and the lessons learned from years of hands-on experience, including common pitfalls to avoid.

For Salah, orthodontics is a lifelong journey of learning, sharing, and refining techniques to give patients the very best outcomes.
