Dr Jim Sykes graduated from Newcastle University in 1997 and is the owner and principal dentist at Hexham Dental Clinic in the UK, which he founded in 2007. He provides comprehensive private dentistry with a strong focus on orthodontics, implant dentistry, and digitally driven restorative care within multidisciplinary treatment approaches.

With nearly three decades of clinical experience, Dr Sykes has a particular interest in integrating orthodontics into restorative treatment planning to deliver predictable, patient‑centred outcomes. He holds a Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy and is a clinical mentor and speaker with Aligner Dental Academy, where he teaches and mentors clinicians across the UK. His education focuses on case selection, digital workflows, and embedding orthodontic solutions seamlessly into everyday general practice.
