Dr. El-Damanhoury is a graduate of Cairo University in 1997, obtained his Master degree in Restorative dentistry (including Operative Dentistry, Endodontics, and Fixed Prosthodontics) from Suez Canal University, then appointed as a Lecturer. He was honored with a Joint supervision scholarship to pursue a doctoral degree in the field of Operative Dentistry at Indiana University - School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN, the USA, where he conducted his research on Silorane-based restorative materials. The results of his research were presented in many International conferences and he was awarded The prestigious Paffenbarger Student Research Award in 2007.
Dr. El-Damanhoury had his clinical training in Operative Dentistry at Indiana University and achieved the status of Board Certified in 2008 by the American Board of Operative Dentistry. After obtaining the doctoral degree in Operative Dentistry 2008. He joined the University of Sharjah as an Assistant Professor of Conservative Dentistry since November 2009.
Dr. El-Damanhoury presented his research work in several international and Local conferences and published in international journals including the Journal of Operative Dentistry and Journal of Dental Materials, he is also a member in the American Academy of Operative Dentistry and the Academy of Dental Materials. His research interests are in the field of dental materials, dental adhesion, resin composites, dental lasers. He also has clinical experience in Microscopic Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. He also has a special interest in the applications of CAD/CAM technology in dentistry, as he has been certified as a CEREC Trainer by the International Society of Computerized Dentistry in March 2012.
