Dr. Pearson is originally from Miami, Florida. She initially began her dental career in 1970 as a dental assistant. Her love of dentistry and desire to respond to patients’ needs led her to attend Miami Dade Community College for Dental Hygiene, where she graduated cum laude in 1974. She then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a degree to teach dental hygiene in the university setting. Dr. Pearson graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with high distinction in 1981. There she was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Epsilon, which she continues to be a member of. She then completed her post-graduate residency at Tufts University in Boston. She has been in private practice in Lexington, Kentucky for the past 20 years.

Dr. Pearson has the distinct honor of being one of the 300 accredited members (in the world) of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and an active member of the AAID Educational Committee. In addition to being a member of the AACD and an Associate Fellow of the AAID, she is also co-founder of the Kentucky Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
