Immediate loading of short implants in the fully digital full arch rehabilitation

Abstract

Short implants represent a valuable treatment option for the immediate restoration of patients with posterior atrophic situations. Digital workflows may facilitate the diagnosis and treatment planning of atrophic patients. Latest implant designs – BLX - can help to achieve optimal primary stability of short implants. Short implants as part of IFCDs are always part of a splinted configuration. Valuable alternative for the posterior maxillary and mandibular full arch reconstruction avoiding invasive bone augmentation procedures. Definition of short implants: ≤ 6mm. In posterior areas with limited horizontal alveolar dimensions. Valuable alternative to avoid possible morbidities associated with augmentation procedures

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss in detail about the short implants
  • Evaluate how to do immediate loading in full arch treatment
  • Identify the procedure of implantation in atrophic bone
  • Discuss about the AP spread, mechanical planning for short implants
  • Discuss about the alternative to avoid possible morbidities with sinus lift
