Abstract
The ongoing development in digital dentistry represents a new way to diagnose, treatment plan, and create functional esthetic restorations. 3D Digital smile design is an efficient method to plan, help in materials selection and test-drive the selected treatment before moving clinically to “irreversible” procedures. Lately, desktop facial scanner helped in creating the “dental avatar” with an integrated smile design and CAD software that allows the dental practitioner to plan and prepare the case very precisely securing a successful outcome.
the application of CAD/CAM technology to dental materials using 3D printing or milling strategy has increased the efficiency and precision of manufactured restorations following the latest adhesive armamentarium and protocols mainly for all-ceramic based restorations.
This lecture will discuss the application of technology in a full digital workflow combined with a proper adhesion protocol in esthetic rehabilitation to secure a fast, precise and repeatable outcome in daily clinical practice.
