Chemical Options for Success in Endodontic Treatment
Abstract
The success of endodontic treatment involves the correct shaping and decontamination of the root canal system. The endodontic preparation can be divided into the mechanical action of instruments and the chemical action of solutions and devices for the elimination of microbial sources. If it is argued that a microorganism-free endodont is a Sine Qua Non situation for the success of endodontic therapy. This presentation aims to discuss the chemical and physical options available for effective decontamination and how this action impacts on long-term success.
