Abstract

This 2-day course is a mix between scientific evidence and hands-on training about the vertical geometry concept applied to full crown and laminate veneer restorations.

The clinical application of each clinical step will be presented in-depth as well as the scientific foundation to achieve simple and successful rehabilitations from the single tooth to a full mouth.

The armamentarium (key point to the protocol) , the restorative material features and selection will also be discussed.

During the hands-on part, the participants will experience how to design different tooth preparations and make and manage the temporary restorations.

They will also learn how to make a composite mock-up for laminates and to perform tooth preparation for laminate veneers.

The final goal of this course is to improve  the skills of clinicians who are seeking a simple and straightforward approach in prosthetic rehabilitation

Learning objectives

  1. How the finish line geometry may affect the mechanical and biological response
  2. A common misconception about vertical geometry
  3. Clinical application of the Simplified Prosthetic Protocol (SPP) from tooth prep to final delivery
  4. Mechanical features of ceramic materials and their proper selection
  5. Esthetic rehabilitation through laminate veneers application
