Course Outline
The morning session will be a lecture on advanced treatment planning (with Prof. Paul Tipton). The afternoon session will be a hands-on practical which will include treatment planning on study casts (with Dr Adam Toft). It will cover the following:
- Examination procedures
- Vertical Dimension assessment
- Periodontal assessment
- Stabilisation
- Maintenance including Perio, Endo, Ortho, and Cores
- Occlusal principles
- Reorganised vs conformative approach
- 5 Principles of occlusion
- Surgical procedures including perio surgery, implants etc
- Bridge design
- Crown preparations
- Diagnostic waxing, prototypes and prep guides
- Definitive restorations
- Occlusal splints
