Abstract
Demineralization of enamel in children, whether due to caries, developmental defects, or dietary factors, poses a significant challenge in pediatric dental care. As the paradigm shifts from restorative to preventive and minimally invasive strategies, the emphasis on enamel remineralization has grown substantially. This webinar, will delve into the science and clinical application of evidence-based remineralization strategies aimed at preserving and strengthening the primary and young permanent dentition. Participants will gain insights into the pathophysiology of enamel demineralization, explore current diagnostic tools for early detection, and review the latest advancements in remineralizing agents—including fluoride-based therapies, casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP), bioactive glasses, and newer peptide technologies. Through a synthesis of research evidence and clinical experience, the session will highlight effective protocols for managing early enamel lesions and preventing disease progression in pediatric population.
