Abstract

This webinar will showcase how the oral health’s bacterial, functional and injury factors are influencing the overall health, musculoskeletal system, performance and injury risk of the athletes, from amateur to professional level. At the same time, the epidemiological data is clear about the negative impact of sports on oral health. The analysis of this two-way interaction between oral health and sports can help dentists contribute not only to the well-being of the athletes, but also to their performance enhancement and injury prevention.
