Are you performing risk assessment in your practice? Of course, you are but if you aren’t recording it in the chart and following through you are missing out on the magic of the system. Caries Management By Risk Assessment (CAMBRA) is being taught in every dental and dental hygiene program but many people still aren’t getting the most out of this evidence-based tool. This first of a three-part series of webinars will walk you through the easy and proven steps to uncover the level of caries risk your patient exhibits.
Risk assessment is a tool that has proven to be beneficial in treating patients by their needs. The clinician can determine risk and create an individual treatment plan to prevent decay, stop demineralization, and arrest caries. This course is designed to teach you how to quickly assess an individual’s risk level. You will classify each patient into low, moderate or high risk and determine if and when fluoride varnish and other intervention is indicated.
