Abstract

Orthodontic mini screws and temporary anchorage devices (TADs) have become a mainstay in orthodontic clinical practice, offering reliable anchorage control for both routine and complex tooth movements. This presentation will specifically focus on how mini screws can be utilized to support orthodontic appliances. The anatomy of placement sites, along with their advantages and disadvantages, will be discussed. Additionally, appliance design and biomechanical strategies for managing malocclusions across different dimensional planes will be explored.
