Abstract
Learn the new skills of Emax and Zirconia preparation techniques during this one-day course.
The marginal design has changed dramatically recently because of these newer materials and also to minimise tooth destruction with the ‘verti prep’ and ‘biologically orientated preparation technique’ now being the margin of choice to create an excellent seal. Not only does that mean less tissue destruction but also a change in position of the margin as related to the gingival crevice.
After completing the course you will have a good understanding of the type of Emax and zirconia restoration your patient needs for their anterior and posterior restorations. Different types of tooth preparations are required to give your technician space to produce a beautiful-looking restoration and at the same time minimise the tooth destruction when prepping. Knowing the difference between stacked and full contour Emax and zirconia will allow you to prepare them differently for each restoration.
The morning session will consist of a seminar covering Emax & Zirconia preps and an Emax & Zirconia preps practical in the afternoon.
