Abstract

This intensive three-day program explores the integration of digital technologies in veneer dentistry, combining theory with hands-on application. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of digital smile design, mock-up strategies, and digitally guided tooth preparation. The course covers intraoral scanning, digital bite registration, and advanced shade selection techniques, emphasizing accuracy and predictability. Through guided exercises, attendees will develop skills in virtual patient creation, CAD design, and veneer manufacturing workflows. By the end of the course, clinicians will be equipped to implement fully digital or hybrid workflows, enhancing treatment planning, communication, and clinical outcomes in aesthetic restorative dentistry.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the principles of digital workflow in veneer dentistry, including CAI-CAD-CAM systems.
  • Apply digital smile design concepts for diagnosis, planning, and patient communication.
  • Differentiate between mock-up techniques and utilize them as preparation and reduction guides.
  • Perform accurate intraoral scanning and identify and correct common scanning errors.
  • Utilize digital tools for bite registration, shade selection, and optical mapping.
  • Design and manufacture veneers using CAD software while controlling thickness, contacts, and emergence profile.
