Abstract
The high prevalence of peri-implant diseases is a topic that dentists are increasingly confronted with, both, now and in the future. Consequently, those conditions were considered in the new classification for periodontal diseases. This webinar provides an insight into the difficulties of diagnostics as well as selected non-surgical and surgical treatment approaches. Current results of our own in vitro studies on decontamination methods will be presented and clinical implications discussed. The aim is to be able to make a clear diagnosis and to get to know therapeutic and conceptual approaches. Anyone who expects a perfect therapy concept that can always be applied successfully will be disappointed - peri-implant diseases make it more difficult for dentists than we suspected decades ago.
