Why you should attend this course?
Attending this course you will learn:
- Understand why Ante’s law is no longer relevant
- How to plan a long-span fixed bridgework
- When to use Copings in bridgework
- When and where to incorporate mobile teeth into bridgework (Lindhe and Nyman bridge)
- How to take impressions for mobile teeth
- Tooth preparation designs for adhesive bridgework
- How to prepare fixed movable bridges
Abstract
With the ever-increasing amount of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis (19%-65%), dentists are changing their treatment planning options and looking to save more Endo and perio-involved teeth and use them as stand-alone teeth or as bridge abutments. Understanding Bridge Design is therefore essential in modern dentistry.
This course will cover bridge design in the theory session covering success rates, stress breakers, abutment choice, and how it improves success rate. Different types of design such as fixed, adhesive, cantilever, coping bridges and Lindhe/Nyman bridges will be taught with hands-on practicals on phantom heads.
