Abstract
Immediate aesthetic restorations have been at the center of dental clinical practice for several years now. Factors, including the transformation of social patterns, immediate communication through social media, as well as the modification of aesthetic standards, have led to a steady increase in the interest of dental patients in aesthetic restorations. The ability of clinical dentists to provide immediate aesthetic restorations, expands patients trust, becoming a significant practice management tool.
This presentation and workshop will enable the clinician to get acquainted with the constantly changing environment of the aesthetic rules. It will focus on the characteristics and use of the most modern materials and techniques for the creation of immediate esthetic restorations for anterior teeth. Although the philosophy of the layering techniques will be presented, the aim of the presentation will be the use of simplified techniques, providing life-looking results. Intraoral scanning, tooth modification using Digital Smile Design (DSD) and the use of matrices made on printed models, will help to simplify and expedite the restorative process.
In the extensive workshop, the participants will create matrices for different clinical procedures. Subsequently, they will use these matrices in conjunction with modern restorative materials, in order to produce several anterior esthetic restorations, including teeth with different types of fractures, closure of diastemas and composite veneers.
Different marketing strategies for the integration of such restorations, as well as indirect polymer restorations in any clinical practice, will be presented throughout the lecture.
In conclusion, the ultimate purpose of the seminar is to integrate modern methods and materials with knowledge and respect to the biology of the oral cavity.
